Compassie
(2021)
Creator: Jay Palmer
Commissioned artwork for a VR world by Michaël Samyn.
Compassie is a VR work by Michaël Samyn, inspired by the Christian icon “Pieta” which is a depiction of Mary holding the body of Jesus after he has been taken from the cross. I was commissioned to create props for the scene, which I example here as renders. The final project was created by Michaël Samyn in Unreal Engine, along with assets by other artists. You can find the project here: http://cathedral-in-the-clouds.net/Compassie/ and follow the development process on Michaël’s blog: http://olt.lt/ms

Compassie is a virtual reality diorama in which very little happens. It's a moment of stillness in the solitude of the VR headset.https://t.co/ZQHR9Qwh75#VR #HolySaturday #HappyEaster #CompassieVR #VirtualReality #screenshotsaturday #UE4 pic.twitter.com/OhRKIJTq4a
